I purchased a new Jetta GLS Turbo with an automatic tranmission on 9/4/2000. After driving off the lot I noticed that the check engine light had come on. I called the dealer from my cell phone and they told me not to worry about it and bring the car back in on The following Saturday. After arriving at a friends house to show off my new car, the friend notoiced that the rear left passenger dome light was missing. But here is where it get good.... on 9/20/2000 the transmission blew. 1100 miles and the tranmission blew. I took the car to Circle Imports in Long Beach and haven't seen the car for over 1 week. The only contact with the dealer have been my calls beggin for my car. VW of America Customer Service is a JOKE. After 5 VW's I would have thought VW of America would attempt to help faithful customers.. "my a**" I have called VW of America and the repairing dealer sooooo many times. I am paying for a rental and they can't locate a transmission. DO NOT BUY a VW...
