I purchased a 1996 Volkswagen Passat GLX from SKYLINE Volkswagen in October of 1999. The dealer assured me that the car was completely trouble free as they did a multi-point GOLD CERTIFIED inspection of the car. Soon after my purchase the automatic transmission began acting up, the display panel began to go blank, the starter went out, power windows, locks, and mirrors had difficulties working, and the engine began to wheeze. When I confronted the dealer about it, they were extremely rude and offered no support. I asked the service department to see the records of the car and was denied to them. I've contacted Volkswagen's customer service department to complain and they were condesending, rude, and didn't seem to really care. Therefore, I would NEVER EVER buy another VW product again, and urge other's not to as well. From Epinions WebSite
