Hi, My 1999 VW Passat burned Aug 10, it took part of my house with it and caused smoke inhalation to my son. Still waiting on exact cause. I have done some checking and found another documented case Check out http://easyreader.hermosawave.net/news1999/1014/MB-Structure%20fire.Htm for another poor soul who had a similar problem
